MAIN INGREDIENTS:
- Mushrooms- I use portobello- use your favorite type
- Peppers- poblanos or bell peppers may be used
- Steak- choose your preferred type of steak- anything from filet to sirloin to round steak will work
- Taco Seasoning mix- this helps add the authentic Mexican flavor. I use a lower sodium variety.
- Queso- melting cheese makes a delicious topping to this steak bowl. If you don't have quest, sprinkle on whatever cheese you like.
HOW TO MAKE LOW CARB STEAK TACO BOWL:
1. Add veggies to skillet and sauce.
2. Saute until tender and cooked.
3. Meanwhile add taco seasoning to steak.
4. Saute steak until brown and fully cooked.
5. Add veggies back to skillet then drizzle cheese over all.
I'm going to make this sometime this week, I will use chicken though instead of steak.
Update
So I made this with chicken instead of steak since beef prices are so high. Think I had a little bit too much cheese sauce maybe and it's not the prettiest thing to look at, but it's really tasty and has a kick.
