Big Ten Awards - Week 1

The Big Ten week started with an OT win in Vegas and ended with a thud in Dallas.  In between was a start of the new era in Penn State, some close scares and a statement in East Lansing.

TEAM OF THE WEEK:  Michigan State -- Sparty had the most impressive won over the best opponent in Week 1.  Michigan State hosted Boise State, known for week 1 upsets.  Down 13-10 Michigan State put its faith in Le'Veon Bell and he ran them into the endzone.  The MSU defense then held off the Broncos to move to 1-0.

GAME OF THE WEEK:  Michigan State vs Boise State -- For reasons mentioned above.  The Broncos the last few years have knocked off Oregon, Virginia Tech and Georgia.  That was all with Kellen Moore and NFL talent playing.  This Bronco team couldn't start pull it off for the BCS Buster.

HELMET STICKER - Taylor Martinez - QB - Nebraska -- The Husker QB tossed 5 tds and 354 yards in the Huskers win over Southern Miss.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK -- Devin Smith's 1 handed grab vs Miami (Oh).  This maybe the catch of the year!

Big Ten Jimmy John's Challenge Standings
Chad: 11-1
Matt: 11-1
